Nunez explains changes in the substitute bill for HB78

Nunez just explained changes made in the substitute bill. It would limit the issuance of ID cards.

He said if a student is here and has a two-year visa, he can get a driver’s license for that period, Nunez said. A person who is here under the green card program can get a driver’s license for the period the green card is active.

Nunez pointed out that the original bill, and the substitute, does not have language about revoking drivers’ licenses from those who already have gotten them from the state.
