Senate Judiciary will hear driver’s license bill this afternoon

The Capitol press corps just got word that the Senate Judiciary Committee will hear House bill 78, the driver’s license bill that the House passed last Friday.

The Judiciary committee will meet after today’s Senate floor session, so it’s unclear when the hearing on the legislation will start, or how long the debate might last once lawmakers start talking about the bill.

A helpful tip: You might want to chug some strong coffee. The hearing, once it starts, could last well into the evening.
