Senate might break from the floor to let committees meet

Sen. Richard Martinez, D-Espanola, and Senate Judiciary Committee chairman, said he expected the Senate to break from the floor to let committees meet.

I asked him if HB78 would be heard first at Senate Judiciary. An item’s placement on a legislative committee schedule doesn’t always indicate when it will be heard.

“It’s probably the only bill we’ll hear,” Martinez replied.
