Showtime: Senate Judiciary takes up HB78

Rep. Andy Nunez, I-Hatch, is presenting HB78 to the Senate Judiciary Committee right now. He is joined by Alvin Romero, of the New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department, specifically the tax fraud investigations bureau.

Romero spoke of the illegal immigration issue, saying that it’s often presented in terms of Mexicans coming to the U.S.

“It is a global problem. we have investigations where people are coming from Asia, South America, And yes from Mexico,” Romero told senators.”
