Drivers’ license bill — will it or won’t it come up for debate in the Senate

O.K., so everyone is wondering if HB78, the driver’s licenses bill, is scheduled for debate in the Senate tonight.

Well, we just got a hint from Sen. Majority Leader Michael Sanchez, although the Belen Democrat was being a bit coy.

Sanchez read off a list of bills the Senate will take up tonight: SB509, SB476, SB233, SB429, SB210, SB505, SB92, SB385 and SB392.

Then he added, “There may be an interruption in there somewhere for the bill that everyone is waiting on.”

I guess all I can say is, Stay tuned.
